Operation Christmas Child
Did you know a simple shoebox can bring the love of Christ to a child this Christmas? All you need to do is fill it.
Operation Christmas Child is an outreach ministry of Samaritan's Purse. Its mission is to demonstrate God's love to children around the world and, together with local churches, share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Two Ways to Get Involved
PRAY
Pray that the children who receive shoebox gifts would come to know the love of Christ. Pray also for the churches and volunteers who distribute these gifts, that each shoebox would open doors to share the Good News of Jesus.
PACK
Each shoebox is an opportunity to tell boys and girls about our Greatest Gift—Jesus Christ. Boxes, labels, and packing information are available in the lobby.
What Goes in a Shoebox?
Pack Some Joy!
Start with a special gift like a stuffed animal, doll, or soccer ball. Then add practical items and fun surprises, such as:
School supplies
Toothbrush
Comb or hairbrush
Washcloth
Small toys and activities
A personal note or photo
Please Leave Out:
Food, candy, toothpaste, soap, liquids, medications, breakable items, war-related toys, and used or damaged items.
Every shoebox is an opportunity to bring joy to a child and share the hope and love of Jesus Christ.
