Spiritual growth does not come with shortcuts. Hebrews 12 calls us to consider Christ when we are weary, receive God’s discipline as something He can use for our good, and actively pursue holiness. The process may be difficult, but God uses it to form endurance, righteousness, and maturity in us.

When trials come—and they will—James challenges us to count them as joy, not because they are easy, but because they grow us into steadfast, mature followers of Christ. Rather than running from hardship, we are called to lean into it and discover God’s transforming work in our lives. This sermon invites us to see trials as opportunities for spiritual growth and completeness.
